Question: Is My Child Eligible for North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten?

Answer: The child must be four-years old on or before August 31st of the program year. A child that meets the age requirement is eligible for NC Pre-K if the child is from a family whose gross income is at or below 75% of the State Median Income (SMI). Children of certain military families are also eligible without regard to income. In addition, up to 20% of age eligible children enrolled may have family incomes in excess of 75% SMI if they have documented risk factors in specific categories including developmental disability, Limited English Proficiency, educational need, or chronic health condition.

Question: Do you provide transportation?

Answer: Transportation Provided at the following schools: Badin Elementary School, Millingport Elementary School, Richfield Elementary School. After school transportation provided by Stanly County Schools bus from North Stanly Middle School.

Question: Are parents allowed in the daycare?

Answer: We have an Open Door Policy which means that Parents are welcome at any time. Feel free to drop by or call, we welcome communications and are happy to see parents involved in our activities. 

Question: What is your holiday schedule?

Answer: The Center observes the following holidays: New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday & Friday), Three Days at Christmas (usually 23, 24, 25)

Answer: We are always accepting applications from qualified individuals! 

Question: What is your inclement weather plan?

Answer: All Star Learning Center seeks to remain open and provide care for families that have to work during inclement weather. The Owner/Director will monitor weather conditions and follow guidance from local and state agencies to determine the best course of action. In the event that it is deemed
necessary to close early, open late, or close the center for the day or following day- families will be
contacted and informed so that they can make care arrangements. In the event that the center closes
early due to inclement weather, we ask that children are picked up in a reasonable amount of time to
ensure that all parents, children, and staff can safely travel home. Tuition is due for full and part time
schedules during inclement weather closings.
